Description
Bein Root Elevators
Our Bein root elevators are the plain, straight workhorse of the tray. The blade is concave and tapers to a fine edge, so it slips into the PDL space and lifts with a gentle turn. You can pick from fourteen options, and each one ships as a single piece.
Why the Bein Pattern Stays on Trays
The scooped face cups the root as you work. As a result, the tip follows the curve of the root rather than skating off it. First, seat the blade between root and bone. Then wedge it toward the apex and rotate a little at a time. In practice, a few short turns loosen most roots.
Fourteen Bein Choices, Sorted
The range falls into four groups.
- Fig. 1, 2, 3 and 4: the core numbered figures.
- Fig. 1 Straight and Fig. 4 Straight: straight versions of those two numbers.
- Fig. 1B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B and 6B: the B-series, a second graded run.
- 3 mm and 4 mm: two blade widths from our surgical list.
If you are unsure, begin with a slimmer option for a tight socket and keep a wider one for bigger roots.
Leverage Without Harm to Neighbors
Brace a finger on solid tissue near the site. This rest stops the tip from slipping. However, never pivot on the next tooth unless that tooth is coming out too. Before an implant case, keep the buccal plate intact by wedging and turning instead of prying outward.
Keeping the Concave Edge Keen
A dull tip pushes rather than wedges. So check the edge under good light after each cycle. Hone it lightly along the original bevel, or send it for regrinding once it rounds over.
Ordering Your Bein Figure
Its stainless steel tracks ASTM F899 closely. We set the specification for every Bein figure, and a final check takes place in the United States. No Bein figure is sterile when it arrives, but you may reuse it after cleaning and sterilisation. If a flaw in the making ever shows, each figure keeps its shield of three years against manufacturing defects. Browse our full root elevator range, compare it with the Coupland gouge-style elevators, or check answers to common order questions.
For trained dental professionals only. See how to clean and sterilise it and when your order will arrive.
