Description
Arnold Bone Graft Holding and Drilling Forceps
Shaping a harvested block by hand is risky, because the piece is small, wet and easy to drop. Arnold bone graft forceps clamp the block firmly. So you can drill fixation holes or trim edges away from your fingers. At 200 mm, the instrument keeps your hand well back from the bur. That length also gives steady leverage when the graft is dense cortical bone.
What the Jaws Are Built to Do
The catalogue names this pattern a holding and drilling forceps. In other words, it is meant to stabilize the block during preparation, not to cut it. Once the graft sits in the jaws, you can pass a drill through it, adapt its contour, and check its fit against the recipient site. Then you release it and transfer it to the ridge.
Standard Versus Angled
Two versions share the same 200 mm length. The Standard option is the straight pattern, and it suits work on a side table where the block can be held level. The Angled option sets the jaws at an angle to the handles. As a result, your wrist stays more neutral during vertical drilling. Look at the photos to see the bend. Then choose the one that fits your setup.
- Standard: straight jaws, 200 mm
- Angled: offset jaws, 200 mm
Arrival, Checks and Coverage
Before shipping, our staff in the United States inspect every forceps. They test jaw alignment and handle closure. The instrument is delivered non-sterile; clean and autoclave it before it reaches a patient. Should a weld, joint or jaw prove faulty, we stand behind the forceps for three years against manufacturing defects.
Its stainless steel conforms to the ASTM F899 family of surgical alloys. Pair it with the Bone Mill for leftover fragments, or see all Dental Implant Instruments. Warranty claims and order steps appear in the FAQs.
This forceps is offered to trained professionals performing block grafting. Follow our care and sterilization notes, and check shipping and delivery before scheduling a case.
