Shaping a cavity well is the groundwork for every lasting restoration. These cavity preparation tips sit on the amalgam and restorative pages of our supplier catalogue, next to calcium hydroxide placers and amalgam tools. The Half Ball Family

The three Half Ball options share a rounded working end, as the name suggests. The difference lies in direction. Half Ball, Straight points the tip in line with the shaft, so it suits occlusal and easily reached surfaces. Half Ball, Left and Half Ball, Right, meanwhile, are mirror versions. Together they let you reach mesial and distal walls without awkward wrist angles. Therefore, many clinicians order the left and right tips as a pair.

Where Type E Fits

Type E is a separate catalogue pattern, and the catalogue gives no extra description for it. So, compare its photo with the Half Ball tips to judge its shape against your technique. If you already use a Type E tip, this option gives you a direct replacement. Otherwise, start with the Half Ball set and add Type E later.

Checking Fit, Cleaning and Warranty

Before ordering, confirm that the tip connection matches your equipment; if you are unsure, send us your model and we will check. Nothing in the pack is sterile on arrival, so put each tip through your restorative reprocessing routine before first use. In addition, we cover each tip for three years against manufacturing defects in shape or finish.
