Description
Advanced Periodontal Surgery Set, 23 Pieces
The advanced periodontal surgery set is our largest perio kit at twenty-three pieces. It aims at open flap surgery and bone grafting, so it carries bone curettes and graft packers.
Access and retraction
First, the #5 straight and angled handles take blades, and the KGF7 knife adds a fine edge. Then the titanium Molt 9 and the Seldin 23 elevator lift the flap. The University of Minnesota retractor holds the cheek back, and Adson 12 cm forceps grip tissue.
Clearing the defect
Once bone is exposed, the Lucas 85 and 86 and the Molt 2/4 curettes scoop out the defect. The PR 1/2 surgical curette and three Graceys clean root faces. Next, the titanium 13K/TG chisel and PPAEL periotome help with fine work.
- Three bone curettes
- Two serrated graft packers
- Titanium chisel, periotome and elevator
- Two carbide needle holders
Placing graft material
The PT1 and PT2 are serrated anterior packers. They carry and press graft material into the defect. Because the ends are serrated, material tends to stay put.
Two needle holders for closure
Closure often mixes heavy and fine sutures. Therefore, the kit has a Mayo-Hegar and a 16 cm Castroviejo, both with carbide jaws. Curved 12 cm iris scissors cut suture. Finally, a CP12 probe and #5 mirror support the exam.
When this kit is the right pick
Choose it when bone work is routine. However, pure soft tissue grafting suits our 19-piece plastic kit better. One order of matched pieces also saves a long shopping list.
These pieces follow our own specification, with final inspection carried out in the United States. We source steel that satisfies ASTM F899. Each one leaves us non-sterile. Clean and sterilise it before first use, and it is reusable from then on. The set carries our three years against manufacturing defects promise. This advanced perio kit is for professional use only. Our instrument care guide and shipping and delivery page are worth a read.
