Description
Adson Titanium Curved Tissue Forceps, Serrated Teeth
These titanium Adson forceps pair a classic tissue forceps shape with a lighter metal. The 12 cm body ends in curved tips with serrated teeth. Consequently, you can hold a flap edge from an angle while keeping a clear view of the site.
Why Choose Titanium
Titanium weighs less than steel in the hand. So, during long grafting or suturing sessions, the forceps feel light between the fingers. Many implant surgeons also like titanium near titanium components, especially when handling tissue right beside an exposed fixture.
What the Curve Adds
Straight Adson tips point where your hand points. By contrast, the curved tips angle away from the line of the handle. As a result, they reach around a convex ridge or behind a papilla without lifting your wrist into the light. That makes the curve useful in posterior flaps and lingual tissue.
Serrated Teeth and Tissue Grip
Serrations spread the hold along the tips instead of concentrating it at one point. Therefore, the forceps can stabilise a flap for suturing without punching through it. Use light pressure, since the serrations already provide the friction. Also, keep a second, straight forceps on the tray for cases where the curve gets in the way.
Delivery, Inspection and Warranty
Each titanium pair is checked for tip alignment by a member of our Atlanta staff in the United States before shipping. They come to you non-sterile, so wash the serrations thoroughly and autoclave before first use. Finally, this curved titanium model is warranted three years against manufacturing defects affecting the spring, tips or serrations.
Our steel instruments follow ASTM F899; this titanium forceps sits alongside them in Dental Implant Instruments. For a straight steel option, see the Adson 1×2 tissue forceps. Policy answers sit in our FAQs.
