Description
“A” Gun-Load Self-Aspirating Syringe
The “A” gun-load aspirating syringe takes its name from how you load it. The 1.8 ml cartridge slides in from the back, much like a round into a breech. A curved T-style thumb rest then sits under your thumb for the injection.
Breech Loading Explained
Many syringes take the cartridge through a side window. This one opens at the rear instead. So you drop the cartridge straight in along the barrel, then close the syringe behind it. Some users find this quicker when they reload during long sessions.
The Curved T-Style Thumb Rest
Rather than a ring, you get a curved T-shaped rest. Your thumb pushes on a broad bar, not through a loop. Because the rest is curved, it follows the pad of the thumb.
Aspiration Without a Pull
Our catalogue lists this model with the self-aspirating syringes. In short, you check by easing thumb pressure, not by pulling back. The elastic diaphragm of the cartridge then rebounds and creates a light draw. Watch the cartridge for a few seconds, then continue if it stays clear.
Who Tends to Choose It
Dentists who already like a T-handle manual syringe often feel at home with a gun-load aspirating syringe. The thumb position is similar, but the aspiration step changes. It also suits anyone who prefers rear loading to a side window.
- Breech loading from the back
- Curved T-style thumb rest
- Standard 1.8 ml cartridges
- Self-aspirating on release
After Each Session
Open the rear, take out the cartridge, and remove the needle. Next, clean the barrel and thumb rest, then dry and sterilize them. The syringe comes non-sterile, so treat it the same way before its first patient.
Quality and Warranty
Every gun-load syringe carries three years against manufacturing defects, breech and harpoon included. Its stainless components follow ASTM F899 for surgical instruments. It is made to our specification and checked in the United States. View the whole syringe collection, or compare the black projection syringe. Further answers live on our FAQ page for buyers.
