Description
Projection System Self-Aspirating Syringe, Black Wings
The black wing projection syringe makes repeat aspiration simple. Every time you lighten your thumb, it checks again. Inside goes one standard 1.8 ml cartridge, while black wings carry your two front fingers.
Projection Versus Disc
Self-aspirating syringes come in two main systems. In this one, a small projection in the head meets the cartridge diaphragm. Our disc models use a disc for the same job instead. Both rely on the elastic rubber, so neither needs a hook or harpoon in the stopper.
Why the Rubber Pulls Back
Picture a drum skin. Press it, and it dips; let go, and it pops back. The diaphragm behaves in a similar way. When thumb pressure falls, it recovers and draws a trace of fluid back into the cartridge. Thus any blood in the needle shows up in the glass.
Checking More Than Once
During a slow block, you may want to check at more than one depth. With a manual syringe, each check means another pull on the ring. Here, you just ease off, look, and resume. For this reason, the projection model suits long, careful deposits.
Black Grip, Clear Contrast
On the black wing projection syringe, the grip stands apart from the steel body. That contrast helps you place your fingers quickly. It also lets staff tell this syringe apart on a busy tray.
- Projection system self-aspiration
- Black wing grip
- Standard 1.8 ml cartridge
- Non-sterile on arrival, reusable after processing
Before the First Patient
The syringe arrives non-sterile. Therefore, clean and sterilize it before use. Between patients, discard the needle and cartridge, then reprocess the syringe the same way. Check that the head is free of debris, since that is where the diaphragm seats.
What Backs This Syringe
Every Projection System syringe carries three years against manufacturing defects, black wings included. Also, the steel components align with ASTM F899. We have each one built to our own specification and inspected in the United States. Look through our anaesthesia syringe lineup, or see the grey projection model.
