Description
White Plastic Filling
A White plastic filling instrument places and shapes restorative materials while they are still soft and mouldable. In dentistry, plastic means pliable, so these instruments suit composites, liners, cements and temporary materials. This page offers the White pattern in four numbered versions.
Patterns 1, 3, 4 and 5
You can choose White No. 1, No. 3, No. 4 or No. 5. Each number is a separate pattern in our supplier listing. However, the listing gives the numbers without drawings or measurements. So we do not describe blade widths or angles that we cannot confirm. The photos on this page are the most reliable way to compare them.
Placing Material, Then Shaping It
Plastic filling work usually happens in two moves. First, one end carries a small amount of material into the preparation. Next, the clinician adapts it to the walls and shapes the surface before curing or setting. For that reason, many dentists keep two or three White numbers in the same cassette, so each step has a suitable end.
How to Pick Your Numbers
If you already own a White pattern, reorder the same number to keep your trays consistent. If you are new to the series, compare No. 1 with No. 5 in the photos, because those sit at either end of the range on this page. Then add No. 3 or No. 4 if you want something between them.
White Series Steel and Care
Each White No. 1, 3, 4 or 5 is stainless steel, and we look over every numbered piece by hand in the United States before shipping. These White fillers come unsterilized; give yours a full wash and autoclave run ahead of restorative work. All four numbers include three years against manufacturing defects, White No. 1 through No. 5 alike.
The steel meets ASTM F899, explained on the FDA standards listing. Look through our restorative and diagnostic category for related tools, compare the Williams Plastic Filling figures, and see our FAQs for help ordering.
White filling instruments are for trained dental clinicians. Our care and sterilization notes suit White No. 1 to No. 5 reprocessing, and shipping and delivery sets out White parcel timing.
