Description
Ward Small Amalgam Carvers
This small Ward amalgam carver series comes from the amalgam carvers page of our supplier catalogue. Clinicians use it to trim and contour amalgam in the short window before it sets. The page holds six choices: three figures, each on two handle patterns.
Fig. 1, Fig. 1S and Fig. 2 in the Small Series
The small Ward line repeats the familiar figure numbers. Fig. 1 is the first pattern, Fig. 1S is its listed variant, and Fig. 2 is the second design. The catalogue prints these as figure numbers only, without blade notes. Therefore the photos on this page are your clearest reference for tip outline and angle.
Style 2: A Second Handle Row
Every small Ward figure also appears as Style 2. That label marks a second row on the same catalogue page, where the same figure sits on a different handle pattern. The supplier does not name the handle, so we will not guess at it either. Instead, compare the plain and Style 2 photos for each figure. Then choose by grip, weight in the hand, or simply what matches your existing kit.
Small Ward Carvers or the Standard Ward Page?
We also sell Ward carvers from the general carvers section of the catalogue. That listing uses the same figure names but sits under a different catalogue heading. So, if you want the small Ward amalgam carver, stay on this page. If you need the general carvers series, open the companion listing linked below and compare.
Steel and Reprocessing Notes
Small Ward figures are stainless steel, and every one of the six choices gets a United States inspection by our staff before boxing. These small carvers reach you unsterilized; scrub and autoclave each Ward Fig. 1, 1S or 2 before patient contact. We back the small Ward line with three years against manufacturing defects per small Ward figure.
For steel specifications see ASTM F899 on the FDA consensus standards site. Find related carvers in our Diagnostic, Periodontal and Restorative Instruments category, compare with the standard Ward Carvers, and visit our FAQs for order questions.
Small Ward carvers are supplied for qualified dental clinicians. Reprocessing tips live on the care and sterilization page; transit details live under shipping and delivery.
