Our microvascular vessel dilator gently opens the end of a small vessel before anastomosis. It measures 12.5 cm and comes with a 0.5, 1.0 or 1.5 mm tip.

Microvascular vessel dilator: three tip sizes

The 0.5 mm tip suits the finest vessels. Next, the 1.0 mm tip handles a common range of small arteries and veins. Finally, the 1.5 mm tip covers slightly larger ends.

Why dilate first

A small vessel end can spasm or collapse. So light dilation helps the surgeon see the lumen and place sutures. Then the anastomosis proceeds with a clearer view.

Short and precise

At 12.5 cm, the instrument stays short for fine control. Also, it sits well in the hand under the microscope. As a result, small movements translate cleanly to the tip.

A three-size set

Many teams keep each microvascular vessel dilator size on the same micro tray. That way, the surgeon steps up without waiting. Plus, a spare 0.5 mm tip covers the most delicate cases.

Reprocessing microvascular vessel dilator

Rinse the tip immediately after use, while blood stays soft. Then clean it by hand, never in a crowded basket. Finally, dry it and store it on a mat with the tip covered.
