Description
Type A Aspirating Dental Syringe, Black Grip
This black grip aspirating syringe keeps the Type A layout but changes the look of the parts you hold. Both the spool finger grip and the thumb ring come in black. The barrel still holds a 1.8 ml cartridge, and a hooked harpoon still grips the stopper.
Why pick black parts?
Mostly, it comes down to sorting and taste. A practice with several rooms can use black handles to mark one set of syringes. For example, you might keep black grips for one hygienist and bright steel for another. That way, trays go back to the right place after the autoclave.
What the grip feels like
The spool shape gives your index and middle fingers a curved seat. Your thumb sits in the ring at the back. Because the ring is closed, you can push to inject and pull to aspirate without moving your hand.
Same core as the steel Type A
Under the black parts, this black grip aspirating syringe works like our standard model. So the loading steps, the harpoon and the cartridge size all match. If you already own the plain version, your team needs no new routine.
- Black spool finger grip
- Black closed thumb ring
- Harpoon that hooks the cartridge stopper
- Also takes the usual 1.8 ml cartridge
Before each use
Check that the ring and spool sit tight. Then look at the harpoon tip under good light. A blunt or bent tip may slip off the stopper during the pull-back.
The syringe arrives non-sterile and you can use it again and again once it has gone through cleaning and sterilization. The black parts are not steel, yet its steel parts meet ASTM F899. A three-year term applies: we cover it for three years against manufacturing defects. Look through every dental syringe we carry, compare the plain steel Type A, or visit our FAQ page.
