Description
Trio Aspirating Dental Syringe
Our trio aspirating syringe is a ring-and-flange design for standard 1.8 ml cartridges. Trio is simply the catalogue name for this pattern. This page walks through the routine you will repeat with it many times a day.
Step one: load
Pull the thumb ring back until the piston clears the barrel. Then place the cartridge with the rubber end toward you. Push the ring forward with a firm tap so the harpoon sets in the stopper.
Step two: fit the needle
Next, attach a new sterile needle to the front hub. Push out a drop to confirm flow. Keep the cap on until you are ready, because this protects the tip and your staff.
Step three: inject and test
After you reach the target, draw back on the ring. Check the glass for any red streak. When none appears, give the dose slowly while you watch the patient.
Step four: unload safely
Recap the needle with a one-handed method or a capping device. Then pull the ring back to free the harpoon. Lift out the used cartridge, and remove the needle into a sharps box.
- Thumb ring for both directions
- Finger flange as a steady rest
- Harpoon that sets with a light tap
Clinics that pick it
Clinics that like a simple, repeatable layout often pick the trio aspirating syringe. It also pairs well with the Quatro, since both use a ring and a flange.
Out of the box it is non-sterile, though it is fully reusable once you clean and sterilize it. We source steel parts that meet ASTM F899. Should a flaw from production appear, our cover holds for three years against manufacturing defects. Shop dental injection syringes, look at the Quatro model, or check our FAQs.
Only for dental professionals. Our instrument care notes and shipping terms cover the rest.
