Description
Titanium Graft Packer and Depth Gauge
This titanium graft packer combines two steps of implant surgery in one instrument. It condenses graft material, and it also measures the depth of a prepared site. The catalogue lists two diameter tips, 3.3 mm and 4.0 mm. Each tip carries depth marks, so you read the site directly from the instrument.
Depth Marks at 8, 11, 13, 15 and 18 mm
The markings sit at five set points. Those figures line up with common implant lengths. So after drilling, you can insert a tip and see which mark meets the crest. If the reading falls short, you know to adjust before the fixture goes in.
Picking the 3.3 mm or 4.0 mm End
Use the tip that matches the width of your osteotomy. The 3.3 mm tip suits narrower sites prepared for slimmer fixtures. Meanwhile, the 4.0 mm tip fits standard-width preparations. Since both tips come on one instrument, you simply turn it around between readings.
Packing Graft With the Same Tool
Once the site is measured, the same tips push particulate graft into place. For example, you might fill a small buccal gap after the implant is seated. You can also condense graft at the floor of a crestal sinus approach. In both cases, the marks show how deep you are working.
Titanium, as the Name States
This instrument is titanium rather than stainless steel. Therefore it sits comfortably with other titanium tools on a grafting tray.
Our steel instruments meet ASTM F899, though this packer is made of titanium. All the same, it clears a careful inspection in the United States before shipping. Our policy covers it for three years against manufacturing defects, including worn or unclear depth marks at delivery. Intended for professional surgical use by trained teams. It arrives non-sterile, so sterilize it before first use as outlined in Care and Sterilization. Check Shipping and Delivery for transit details.
