The TG Jovanovic chisel is a periodontal pattern that many implant teams keep beside their elevators. It lets you refine bone by hand, in small controlled strokes. We offer it in three blade widths. Otherwise the pattern stays the same, so your technique carries across all three sizes.

Where This Pattern Earns Its Place

Hand chisels shine when a rotary bur feels too aggressive. For example, you may need to smooth a sharp crest after extraction. You may also want to remove a small ledge before seating a guide. In those moments the Jovanovic pattern gives tactile feedback that a handpiece cannot.

Matching 4 mm, 5 mm and 6 mm to the Site

Pick the width by the space you have:

• 4 mm: tight interproximal areas and narrow crests.
• 5 mm: everyday recontouring across a typical premolar ridge.
• 6 mm: broader molar ridges where each stroke can cover more bone.

Since wider blades remove more per stroke, they also demand steadier control. That is why plenty of clinicians finish with the 4 mm even after starting wide.
