Description
Surgical Curettes Miller 10
The Miller 10 curette is a surgical curette pattern used in oral surgery for scooping soft tissue out of bony sites. We sell it here as a single instrument, the same Miller 10 included in our surgical sets. Each one is examined by our Georgia staff before it goes out, so US inspection is part of every order.
A Spoon for Sockets, Not a Scaler
Periodontal curettes are built to smooth roots. A surgical curette has a different job: its cupped end lifts granulation tissue, cyst lining or debris away from bone. So after an extraction, a surgeon often sweeps the socket walls with it before closure. Likewise, it helps clean a defect before a graft is placed.
Using the Miller Pattern Well
First, seat the cup against the bony wall with the open side facing the tissue to remove. Next, draw it out in short, controlled strokes. Then rinse and inspect the site, repeating only where tissue remains. Because the curette works by scraping, a light grip and steady fulcrum give the surgeon more control than force does.
What You Receive
You receive one Miller 10 surgical curette made from stainless steel to ASTM F899. The catalogue lists this pattern as a set item without separate measurements, so check the photo to confirm the size of the cup. We also protect it for three years against manufacturing defects. It is supplied non-sterile; therefore, wash and steam sterilize the curette before it enters a surgical field.
Look up the ASTM F899 steel grade, explore Diagnostic, Periodontal & Restorative Instruments, and consider the LaBanca bone curette when you also collect bone chips. Ordering answers are in our FAQs.
For trained oral surgeons and dentists performing surgery. Cup-shaped tips trap debris, so read care and sterilization closely; courier timing is posted under shipping and delivery.
