Description
Strauss Penis Clamp
A larger clamp than the Stockmann, with a broad padded bar carried across the top of a sprung frame. The bar spreads the occluding pressure over a wider area, which is the design intent: the same occlusion at lower pressure on any one point.
Bar and frame
The bar sits on the upper limb and bears on soft tissue; the lower limb is a plain sprung wire. Two rings partway down the frame give the fingers a purchase for opening it, and the frame catches closed on a loop at the base.
Choosing between the two patterns
Stockmann is 7 cm, minimal and light. Strauss is 13 cm with the padded bar. Where a clamp is going to be worn for any length of time, the broader bearing surface of the Strauss is generally the more comfortable of the two, and it is easier to position one handed.
Care
Store and reprocess with the frame open. Inspect the bar for lifting or splitting where it meets the frame, check the spring returns fully, and confirm the catch holds. Dry completely before storage.
