This small 10 instrument cassette holds a full chairside set in one hinged steel case. It suits a hygiene visit or a routine filling. Rather than loose tools on a tray, you get one closed unit that moves as a whole.

Dimensions and capacity

The case measures 140 × 203 × 32 mm and has room for ten hand instruments. At 32 mm deep, it takes most standard handles. Meanwhile, its footprint still fits a common tray or drawer.

How the hinge helps

The lid stays joined to the base, so it never goes missing. You open it like a book, lay it flat, and work from the set. Then you close it again for transport. That also means fewer parts to track in the sterile area.

A ten-place set, for example

• mirror, explorer, probe and cotton pliers
• scalers and curettes for a hygiene visit
• a carver, a condenser and a plastic tool
• a spoon excavator or a spare explorer

Through the reprocessing loop

After treatment, return each tool to the case. Next, close the lid and send it to the washer or ultrasonic bath. Once dry, wrap or pouch it and load the steriliser. Finally, store it shut until set-up. In practice, this cuts handling and helps protect fine tips.

Picking the right size

A 10 instrument cassette sits between our five-place boxes and our larger cases. If your procedures use more tools, look at the maxi cassette for 16. But for most hygiene and simple restorative work, ten places is plenty.
