Description
Adjustable Scalpel Handle
The adjustable scalpel handle lets you change the angle between the blade and the grip. As a result, one handle can cover straight cuts as well as angled access in tight spaces.
Why adjust the blade angle
Some incisions sit where a straight handle cannot reach without twisting the wrist. With the mount angled, you keep a comfortable hand position while the blade meets the tissue correctly. The catalogue drawing shows the mount set at an angle above a knurled grip.
Using the adjustable scalpel handle
Set the angle before you load the blade. Then check that the joint holds firmly, because a loose joint lets the blade drift during a cut. If you want us to confirm the blade fit, contact us before ordering.
Care of the joint
Clean the pivot area with a soft brush, since tissue collects around moving parts. Afterward, dry it fully and check that the joint still locks before you sterilize it.
Adjustable or fixed angle
A fixed angled handle keeps one position and cannot slip. On the other hand, an adjustable handle lets you change the angle between cases, or even mid case. So it suits clinicians who meet varied access problems. If you always cut at one angle, a fixed pattern may serve you just as well.

Ordering and warranty
Our cover for the adjustable handle: three years against manufacturing defects. Before shipping, somebody in Atlanta checks the joint and the fitting. Care questions go to our FAQs, while ASTM F899 sets the steel rules. Also, you can compare fixed-angle options among our scalpel handles.
