Description
Offset Osteotome with Depth Marks
This offset osteotome is a slim implant osteotome for the early steps of the osteotome technique. Its bent shank moves the handle away from the line of the site, so you can tap straight down in the posterior maxilla without the mallet meeting the lower teeth. Depth marks along the tip show how far you have advanced.
Six Tip Options
Choose from 1.8, 2.5, 3.0, 3.2 and 4.0 mm tip diameters, plus the R0.38 mm pattern listed in the same catalogue sequence. Working up through the sizes widens a pilot site gradually and condenses soft bone against the walls instead of removing it.
Reading the Depth Marks
Graduations at 8, 10, 12, 15 and 18 mm let you check depth against the planned implant length as you go. Therefore you can stop at the right level without swapping to a probe, which is especially useful when you approach the sinus floor through the crest.
Where It Fits
- Widening a narrow pilot osteotomy in soft bone
- Crestal sinus floor elevation in the upper molar region
- Condensing bone around the site before implant placement
For longer reach, see the Long Offset Osteotome; for a curved shank, the Curved Osteotome.
Checked Here, Covered for Years
Our team inspects each osteotome in the United States before it ships from Atlanta, and each one is backed for three years against manufacturing defects. It arrives non-sterile; clean it and run a full autoclave cycle before first use.
The steel meets ASTM F899 for surgical stainless. Browse all dental implant instruments or read our FAQs.
Meant for licensed clinicians and trained implant surgeons. Our care and sterilization guide and shipping page cover reprocessing and delivery.
