Morris-DeBakey Atrauma Cardiovascular Aortic Clamp

The Morris-DeBakey aortic clamp occludes the aorta while protecting its wall from crush injury. It comes in four lengths, from 18 cm up to 25 cm.

Four lengths

Choose 18, 20, 23 or 25 cm to suit the case. So one pattern can handle a shallow abdominal field or a deep chest. Each size keeps the same atraumatic purpose.

Aortic control

Surgeons cross-clamp the aorta to stop flow during repair or grafting. As a result, they gain a still, dry field to sew in. Gentle jaws also help protect an aortic wall affected by disease.

Shorter or longer

The 18 and 20 cm sizes cover most abdominal aortic work. Meanwhile, the 23 and 25 cm clamps reach deeper thoracic sites. Then larger patients still get the room they need.

A common tray pick

Cleaning Morris-DeBakey aortic clamp

Rinse the long jaws as soon as the case ends. Next, wash the clamp open in a basket that fits its full length. After drying, sight along the tips to confirm they meet, and store the clamp straight.
