Description
Micro Chisels, 17.2 cm
A micro chisel brings chisel action down to the scale of periodontal microsurgery. The catalogue places these in its perio micro surgery series, alongside micro elevators and a micro retractor. Both patterns measure 17.2 cm overall. You choose between #1 and #2.
Telling #1 From #2
The catalogue simply numbers the two as 1 and 2. It does not describe the blade of either in words. So the photos are your best guide to the working ends. Many clinicians buy both, then learn which shape fits their hand in practice.
Why 17.2 cm Matters Under Magnification
Microsurgery often happens under loupes or a microscope. In that setting, a longer handle keeps your fingers out of the magnified field. At 17.2 cm, these chisels give that reach. Because the whole micro series shares this length, the instruments also balance alike as you swap between them.
Small Jobs Suited to a Micro Blade
This small blade removes very little per stroke. That makes it useful for smoothing a thin ledge, refining a crest beside a tooth, or releasing a tight attachment. In addition, it works where a standard chisel would hide the site. Use light hand pressure rather than heavy force.
Building the Micro Set
If you already own the micro elevators, these chisels complete the same family. Then your tray carries matching handles throughout the microsurgical part of the case.
The steel is held to ASTM F899 for surgical instruments. Before dispatch, a United States inspector checks both micro ends under magnification. We offer three years against manufacturing defects on the #1 and #2 patterns alike. Browse Dental Implant Instruments, and complete the series with our Micro Elevators, 17.2 cm.
