Description
Marquette Filling Instruments Fig. 01
The marquette filling instrument, Fig. 01, carries soft filling material into a prepared tooth and contours it there. Clinicians rely on filling instruments like this one to carry material, press it against the walls and smooth the surface before it sets. Our supplier lists the Marquette on its filling instrument page beside the Hollenback figures.
One Figure, No Options
This page sells only the Fig. 01 pattern, so there is no size or style to choose. If you like the Marquette shape, you can order several identical pieces for every restorative tray. That consistency helps assistants, because the same tool sits in the same slot each time.
Where Fig. 01 Fits in a Filling Kit
A typical restorative kit holds a few placement instruments, a condenser and one or two carvers. The Marquette covers the placement and shaping step. Then a carver or burnisher refines the final anatomy. Look at the product photo to judge how its ends suit your technique.
Placing Material in Small Increments
First, pick up a small amount of material on the working end. Next, press it into the deepest part of the preparation and adapt it to the walls. Afterwards, add further layers until the cavity is slightly overfilled for shaping.
Keeping the Tip Clean
Material that dries on the tip drags on the next layer. So wipe the end with a gauze square between increments. In addition, check the tip for nicks after each cycle, since a smooth surface releases material better.
The Marquette is stainless steel, and each Fig. 01 is examined tip to tip in the United States before our Atlanta stockroom packs it. Expect a non-sterile delivery; scrub the instrument and run it through a sterilizer before its first case. If a Marquette tip shows a production flaw, our cover applies, since Fig. 01 is warranted three years against manufacturing defects.
Look up ASTM F899 for steel grades. Further filling tools are in the restorative instrument category, and the Hollenback filling instruments come from the same catalogue page. Our FAQs help with orders.
