Description
Luxating Elevator Set, 7 Tip Shapes
This set sorts seven luxating elevator tip shapes by form, not just by size. You get straight, curved, spade, distal, mesial, large spade and large mesial. Each shape suits a different root surface or access angle.
Thinking in shapes
Typically, a luxating blade cuts the ligament as you slide it along the root. Yet a single shape cannot follow every surface. For that reason, this set gives you seven forms. You pick the one that sits flush with the part of the root you need to reach.
What each tip does
- Straight and curved: general use on front and back teeth.
- Spade and large spade: broad faces of wider roots.
- Distal: the back surface of a root.
- Mesial and large mesial: the front surface of a root.
Small tip or large tip?
Also, two shapes come in a large size. Usually, the standard spade and mesial tips suit premolars and small roots. Then the large versions help on molars and broad roots. Having both saves you from forcing a tip that is too small.
Versus our numbered kits
Our other thin-blade sets run by figure number and width. In contrast, this one groups by tip shape. Often, clinicians find shape names quicker to read on a tray. So pick whichever system matches how you think during surgery.
The benefit of all seven
Mesial and distal tips work as a team. Likewise, the spade sizes back each other up. So buying all seven luxating elevator tip shapes means no missing link. It also gives you one handle style across every blade.
Backed by us
We make it from stainless steel that satisfies ASTM F899. All seven tip shapes follow our specification, and checks happen in the United States. The luxating set ships non-sterile and stays reusable after proper cleaning and sterilization. Our pledge covers you for three years against manufacturing defects. If you prefer figure numbers, try the numbered seven-blade set. You can also scan all clinical sets for practices and the Intrace FAQ.
