Description
Long Osteotome Set, 5 Pieces
Some sites need to be wider without losing bone to the drill. A long osteotome set lets you press the walls apart in small steps instead. These five tools run from a narrow start to a final width, all on straight shanks.
Straight shanks for direct access
A straight shank puts the handle, the shaft and the tip in one line. So force from a light tap travels straight down the axis. That suits front sites and any case where you can look down into the site.
The sequence, from pilot to final
First comes the 2.0 mm tip, right after the pilot. Next, you step to 3.5 mm, then 4.3 mm and 5.0 mm. Finally, the 5.5 mm tip sets the last width. Because each step is small, the bone has time to give.
Depth marks from 4 to 26 mm
The marks run from 4 mm to 26 mm along the shaft. In practice, that lets you stop at the planned depth on each pass. Also, the knurled round handles resist slipping in a gloved hand.
Choosing against the offset model
Our offset model has the same five diameters. However, its bent shank keeps the handle away from the lips on molar sites. So choose the straight tools for anterior and open sites. Choose the offset tools when the target sits far back.
Why own the full run
- No missing size halfway through a case.
- All five share one handle and one mark layout.
- One order, one delivery, one tray plan.
Our specification sets the design, and the five long osteotomes pass inspection in the United States. For the steel, the benchmark is ASTM F899. These ship non-sterile and are reusable after each cleaning and sterilization cycle. A flaw from the factory falls under our three years against manufacturing defects warranty, with no extra form to file.
