Description
Long Offset Osteotome Set, 5 Pieces
Back teeth are hard to reach in a straight line. The long offset osteotome set solves that with a bend in each shank. As a result, your hand stays clear of the front teeth while the tip works on a molar site.
What the bend in the shank does
The offset moves the handle away from the line of the tip. So you can keep the tip upright in the site, even when the cheek and lips get in the way. Also, the tip itself stays straight, which keeps each step true to the site axis.
Five sizes, used in order
Tips come in 2.0, 3.5, 4.3, 5.0 and 5.5 mm. Typically, you start with the smallest after the pilot step. Then you move up one size at a time. Each pass presses bone to the side rather than drilling it away, so the site widens in stages.
Reading depth on a long shaft
Marks run at 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 and 18 mm, and on up to 26 mm. Because of that range, you can track depth in deep sites and during the osteotome approach to the sinus floor. Meanwhile, the knurled round handle gives a firm hold for light mallet taps.
Bent or straight: which to pick
- Pick this version for molar and premolar sites.
- Pick the straight version for front sites with open access.
- Both share the same five diameters.
- Many teams keep both, and choose per case.
Buying the five together
A gap in the sequence stops the case, so it pays to own the full run. With one order, every diameter arrives at once and fits the same plan.
Every osteotome here is produced to our specification, with each one looked over by our team in the United States. Each offset osteotome blade uses a stainless steel that meets ASTM F899. Tools arrive non-sterile; after cleaning and sterilization they are reusable. Every bent-shank osteotome here holds three years against manufacturing defects; if a shank or tip proves faulty, we put it right.
