Lids for Baskets

A mesh basket lid closes the top of an open basket so light items stay in place. It suits loads with small parts, or any basket that goes through strong washer spray. Because the lid is mesh, it does not block steam or water.

Three lid sizes

Match the lid to the footprint of the basket you already use.

• 240 × 250 mm, for standard single baskets.
• 300 × 300 mm, for square baskets.
• 480 × 480 mm, for large square formats.

Which baskets they fit

These lids pair with our baskets of the same footprint. For instance, the 240 × 250 lid suits the baskets built on that base. However, if you use baskets from another source, measure the rim first.

Why add a lid at all

Open baskets work well for most loads. Still, burs, screws and light tips can lift in the washer. A lid keeps them down. It also helps protect a set on the shelf after wrapping.

Steam and drying

The open mesh lets steam reach the load from above. In addition, water can drain away once the wash ends. Thus a lidded basket still dries well, and a mesh basket lid adds little drying time.

First use and reuse

Lids ship non-sterile. Clean and sterilize each one with its basket before first use. Then reuse it as part of the same set, cycle after cycle. Also, keep each lid with its own basket, so the pair always fits.
