Description

Lexer Bone Gouge Handle From Artificial Wood

The Lexer bone gouge sets a hollow blade in a full, rounded handle of artificial wood. It suits scooping, shaping and graft work across orthopedic surgery.

The Lexer handle

A broad handle fills the palm and spreads each mallet blow. Because of this, the surgeon can guide the tip with small, sure moves. It also feels secure with wet gloves.

Straight and curved blades

Straight blades come in 5, 7, 10 and 15 mm. Meanwhile, curved blades come in 5, 10 and 15 mm. Pick a curved one to work under a rim. By contrast, a straight one drives forward along the bone.

Using the Lexer bone gouge

Start with a narrow blade to open the bone. Then switch to a wider one to enlarge the hollow. In the end, a smooth, rounded cavity remains ready for graft or implant. Also, keep the bevel facing the bone you plan to remove.

Building a small Lexer set

Many surgeons choose two straight and two curved blades. For example, 5 and 10 mm straight plus 10 and 15 mm curved cover most cases. Later, you can add sizes as your technique demands.

Lexer bone gouge sizes

  • Straight: 5, 7, 10 and 15 mm
  • Curved: 5, 10 and 15 mm
  • Artificial wood handle
  • Delivered non-sterile

Keeping it in shape

Rinse the hollow straight away, then brush and dry. Pay attention to the handle seam. Keep the edges apart from other tools in the set.

This gouge brings a pledge spanning three years against manufacturing defects on every unit. Our Atlanta crew studies the gouge by hand before it ships. If you have a question, scan our customer FAQ.
