Description
Lecluse & Potts Root Elevator Set, 3 Pieces
This trio of Lecluse & Potts elevators suits firm roots and lower third molars. One piece has a straight lance blade. The other two have angled blades on T-bar style handles. Together, they offer both precision and leverage.
The Lecluse lance
The Lecluse Fig. 1 has a straight, lance-shaped blade and a knurled grip. Clinicians often use it on lower third molars. You place it between tooth and bone, then turn it to start the lift. Also, the knurl helps your grip stay steady.
Potts with a T-bar grip
Potts Fig. 6 faces left and Fig. 7 faces right. Each has an angled blade and a T-bar style handle. Because the handle sits across your palm, you can apply turning force with control. That makes the pair useful for molar roots that resist a standard grip.
Using the three together
- Lecluse first, to open the space on a lower molar.
- Potts on the side with the better line to the root.
- Switch Potts hands if you need to work the other side.
A small kit for heavier cases
Many root sets focus on fine blades. However, this one leans toward strength. It is a good partner for a thin-blade luxating kit, since the two cover different stages. If you mostly remove small roots, a lighter set may be enough.
Why the trio comes as a unit
Potts elevators work as a handed pair, so it makes sense to buy them together. With the Lecluse added, these Lecluse & Potts elevators form a short, strong tray. And one order means a single finish across all three.
What backs the set
The steel complies with ASTM F899 for surgical tools. We specify every detail, and the Lecluse and Potts trio is looked over by our United States team ahead of shipping. You get it non-sterile, but it is reusable once cleaned and sterilized. We also honor a cover of three years against manufacturing defects. For thin blades, see the seven-piece luxation kit. Restricted to professional use. Follow our sterilization guide, and see shipping and returns.
