Lambotte Osteotome
The Lambotte osteotome is a thin, tapered blade for dividing bone with a mallet. Because it bevels on both faces, it tracks straight through the cut instead of drifting to one side.
A blade that stays on line
The pattern carries the name of Albin Lambotte, a pioneer of fracture fixation. Its blade thins toward the edge, so it enters cortex with less force. As a result, the surgeon can split bone along a planned line with small, steady taps. That control matters most near a joint, where a wandering cut costs cartilage.
Seven widths, two edges
You can choose a working width of 15, 20, 25, 30, 38, 44 or 50 mm. Each width comes straight or curved. So a narrow blade suits a tight osteotomy, while the broad ones cut across a wide surface in fewer passes.
Where a Lambotte osteotome fits
Orthopedic and trauma teams use it for corrective cuts, graft work and freeing bone fragments. Foot, hand and long-bone cases all call for it. A curved edge also helps when the cut must follow a rounded contour, such as the rim of a socket. Many trays hold a narrow, a middle and a wide blade side by side.
Lambotte osteotome options
- Seven blade widths, 15 mm through 50 mm
- Straight edge or curved edge on every width
- Tapered blade, bevelled on both faces
- Reusable; we ship it non-sterile
Protecting the cutting edge
Rinse bone debris off right after use, then clean and dry the blade fully. Store each width in its own slot so edges never touch. Also check the edge under good light before every case.
