Description

Kelly

A reliable clamp is one of the first instruments laid out for oral and maxillofacial surgery. These Kelly hemostatic forceps come from the haemostatic forceps section of our supplier catalogue, and both versions are 14 cm long. You choose only the jaw shape: Curved or Straight. Each pair passes a jaw alignment and ratchet test by our people in the United States before we box it.

What Sets the Kelly Pattern Apart

Kelly forceps sit between the fine mosquito clamps and the heavier long hemostats. So, they grip firmly yet still fit the confined spaces of the mouth and face. Teams use them to clamp small vessels, hold tissue, or secure a suture end while another step goes on. Because the ratchet locks at several positions, you can also set the pressure and let go.

Curved Jaws Against Straight Jaws

The 14 cm, Curved version lets you see the tip while your knuckles sit away from the field. As a result, it is the common choice for deep or angled spots and for working beneath a flap. The 14 cm, Straight version, on the other hand, places the jaws directly in line with the rings. That suits surface clamping and holding drapes or sutures. Many trays include one of each, since the two shapes rarely do the same job equally well.

Construction and Cover

The forceps are stainless steel, and they ship non-sterile from our stock. Before first use, open the box lock, wash away any residue and sterilize the pair. Then oil the joint as your protocol requires. Besides that, our written warranty protects these Kelly hemostatic forceps for three years against manufacturing defects in the joint, jaws or ratchet.

Specifications for surgical steel are summarized in the ASTM F899 standard. More clamps and holders appear in our Maxillofacial Surgery Instruments area. For suturing after you clamp, the Crile-Wood Needle Holders are a natural partner. Ordering and returns details live in our FAQs.

Only trained operating room and dental professionals should use this clamp. Review the care and sterilization guide for handling, and visit shipping and delivery for carrier information.
