Katsch Comedone Extractor
The Katsch comedone extractor pairs a fine lancet with a small round cup that has an opening in its center. At 15 cm, it is one of the longer extractors in our range, which gives a steady grip and good reach around the face.
How the cup works
Place the opening over the comedone and press down gently. As the rim presses the skin evenly, the contents rise through the hole. Meanwhile, the lancet at the other end opens closed lesions first, so the cup has a clear path.
When to pick the Katsch comedone extractor
Choose it when you want more length than the 10 cm Saalfeld or Schamberg. Also, the cup gives a flatter contact than a wire loop, which many estheticians prefer on the cheeks and forehead. On the other hand, the Unna-Vidal loop reaches into tighter areas.
Care
Rinse the cup right after use so residue does not dry inside the opening. Then wash it with a neutral detergent, dry it fully, and sterilize to your protocol.
