Description
Jameson, Caliper
Every dental lab needs a few gauges within easy reach, and the jameson caliper is one of the classic patterns. The supplier catalogue shows it on the laboratory instruments page, between the Townley caliper and the crown pliers. It is listed by name alone, without a size or range, so we sell it as a single model.
Reading the Catalogue Listing
Because the catalogue gives no measurements for the Jameson, we do not quote a range here. Instead, study the product photo to judge its shape and scale against the calipers you already use. If you need a stated range, the Boley (0 to 100 mm) and the 200 mm aluminium model are documented alternatives.
Jameson Jobs on the Bench
Technicians reach for a caliper many times a day. For example, they check the bulk of a wax pattern, the height of a model base or the span between abutments. In addition, a second caliper at a separate station saves walking across the lab. That is why a Jameson often lives beside the waxing area.
How It Compares With the Bow and Townley
Our range includes three named lab calipers: Jameson, Bow and Townley. Each has its own catalogue pattern. However, only the Townley is described as graded in millimetres and inches. So if dual units matter, choose the Townley; otherwise, compare the three photos and pick by feel.
The Jameson is stainless steel to the ASTM F899 standard, and every Jameson is opened and checked by hand at our United States base. It is packed non-sterile; sterilize the Jameson if it will be used chairside. We stand behind the Jameson pattern for three years against manufacturing defects; that is a Jameson promise. Browse our Dental Instruments, pair the jameson caliper with the Bow caliper, or check our FAQs.
Sold for trained dental technicians and clinicians. Jameson handling is explained on our care and sterilization page, with dispatch on our delivery page.
