The solid plain border tray is the simplest stock tray we offer. Its shell carries neither holes nor a rim lock. So all the hold comes from a good tray adhesive, which gives you a smooth, closed shell for each impression.

Adhesive Does the Work

Because there is nothing mechanical to grip, the adhesive step matters most. Coat the inside and the edge evenly. Then give it time to dry before you load the material. A rushed coat can let the impression pull away.

A Clean Shell for Controlled Work

With no openings, the material cannot escape through the floor of the tray. That can suit putty or heavy-body work, where you want firm pressure into the arch. It also keeps the outside of the tray tidy.

Arch and Size Choices

Order it as an upper or a lower, then pick XL, L, M, S, XS or XXS. That gives 12 versions in total. The size chart is shared with our other full-arch stock trays, from 81×63 mm at the top of the upper range down to 59×50 mm at the small end of the lowers.

Checking Fit Chairside

• Try the empty tray and look at the depth over the incisors.
• Confirm the heels reach the retromolar area or tuberosity.
• Avoid any spot where steel touches the gum.
• Choose the size, then add adhesive.

Cleaning Without Perforations

Smooth walls make cleanup quick. However, adhesive residue can build up over time, so scrub the inside and use a remover if the adhesive maker suggests one.

Expect this solid plain border tray to arrive non-sterile. Clean and sterilize the tray first; it then serves as a reusable shell for many cases.
