A perforated full denture tray is shaped for patients with no natural teeth. The form is shallow, with a flanged rim that follows the ridge. It suits preliminary impressions, which the lab then uses to build a custom tray.

Made for Edentulous Ridges

Toothed trays are deep in the middle to clear the crowns. An edentulous arch needs less depth and a wider flange instead. So this tray sits closer to the ridge, which helps you capture the vestibule and the borders.

Holes Plus a Rim

The perforations let alginate key into the tray as it sets. In addition, the rim along the edge helps hold the margins. Together they keep the impression in place as you lift it off soft tissue.

Four Sizes Per Arch

You can choose an upper or a lower, each in XL, L, M or S, for 8 options. The catalogue codes run U61 to U64 for uppers and L66 to L69 for lowers.

Fitting an Edentulous Patient

First, look at the ridge form and the width of the palate. Then try the tray and check that it covers the tuberosities or retromolar pads. Where the flange runs short, you can add border wax before loading.

Cleanup Between Denture Cases

Rinse alginate off quickly, since dried paste clogs the perforations. Next, brush both faces and give the tray an ultrasonic soak.
