Description
Hegar-Vascular Needle Holder, Tungsten Carbide
The Hegar-Vascular needle holder adapts the Hegar pattern for vessel work. Its tungsten carbide jaws carry a micro profile for fine sutures.
Micro profile
Micro serration is the finest of the carbide profiles. So it holds small vascular needles without damaging fine thread. Also, the carbide inserts keep that fine grip over many cases.
Hegar handling
Ring handles on the Hegar-Vascular needle holder lock the needle between passes. Meanwhile, the finer jaws give a better view of the vessel. So the needle stays visible as you drive it.
Five lengths
The short sizes suit peripheral and hand vessels. Then the 20 and 23 cm sizes reach deeper arteries and veins. Plus, the ratchet feel stays the same across every size.
Where it fits
Vascular teams need a holder that grips fine monofilament firmly without fraying it. The Hegar-Vascular needle holder does that with a familiar ring feel. Also, gold handles help the scrub nurse find it quickly.
Reprocessing Hegar-Vascular needle holder
Keep the micro jaws apart from heavy clamps and retractors during cleaning and transport. Next, rinse and brush the inserts gently. Then dry the holder and check the tips under good light for chips or gaps.
