Description
Hank Uterine Dilator Set of 6 in Canvas Case
Our Hank dilator set gathers all six Hank dilators in a single canvas case. Sizes follow the American scale and climb from 4.5/5.0 mm to 9.5/10.0 mm.
Six steps up
The smallest piece starts at 4.5/5.0 mm, and each one after it adds a millimeter. The largest reaches 9.5/10.0 mm. So the collection suits smaller openings, where fine increments matter.
American scale sizing
Hank dilators use the American Fig scale rather than the French scale. For example, Fig 9/10 matches 4.5/5.0 mm. Therefore, check which scale your protocol uses before you swap pieces between trays.
Two ends per dilator
Each dilator carries two sizes, one at each end. As a result, six pieces give twelve working diameters. Also, the surgeon simply turns the dilator around to step up.
Keeping it complete
A full Hank dilator set saves time when a tray needs every size in order. However, you can also buy any single size to replace one that goes missing. Plus, the canvas case keeps the six pieces together in storage.
Cleaning Hank dilator set
Lift the dilators out of the canvas case before reprocessing. Then clean each one in warm detergent and rinse off all traces of soap. Once dry, slot them back into the case from smallest to largest.
