Description

Hand Drivers

An implant hand driver lets you turn components with finger control instead of a motor. We offer two versions: Short and T-Handle. The supplier catalogue groups them with its periotome handles, blades, ratchet and torque wrench. So think of this driver as part of a manual turning kit rather than a standalone tool.

The Short Driver for Cramped Access

The Short version keeps overall height low. Because of that, it fits between the arches when a patient opens only partway. It is also handy at second molar sites. There, a longer handle would collide with the opposing teeth.

The T-Handle for More Turning Leverage

The T-Handle version adds a crossbar. Your thumb and fingers then rotate the bar instead of a narrow shaft. Therefore, you get a broader grip when a component needs a few firm turns. Many clinicians also find the T shape easier to orient in anterior cases.

Checking Fit Before You Order

Hand drivers must match the interface of the parts they turn. The catalogue does not state a connection type for either version. For that reason, compare the photos with your current kit, or contact us before ordering. We can then confirm which option suits your system.

Keeping Both on the Tray

Some offices stock one of each. For example, the Short driver starts a component in a tight space. After that, the T-Handle takes over where there is more room. Both are stainless steel, so they sterilize alongside your other surgical instruments.

The steel matches ASTM F899 requirements for surgical stainless. Before it ships, a United States inspector turns each driver by hand and studies its tip. Your purchase is protected for three years against manufacturing defects, whether you choose the Short or T-Handle grip. See our Dental Implant Instruments category for more, and add the Ratchet when you need measured turning. Our FAQs cover returns and fit questions.

Designed for trained implant clinicians. Drivers ship unsterile, so prepare them according to our care and sterilization notes. Lead times are posted on Shipping and Delivery.
