Description
Goldman-Fox Curettes & Scalers
Goldman-Fox curettes and scalers are periodontal hand instruments for removing deposits and debriding root surfaces. This listing brings together seven figures, Fig. 1 to Fig. 6 plus Fig. 21, from our supplier’s periodontal pages. Every figure is offered twice, once in the standard pattern and once as Style 2, so there are fourteen choices in all.
Reading the Figure Numbers
Each Goldman-Fox figure number identifies a different working-end design within the same family. For example, a clinician may choose one figure for anterior work and another for posterior access. The catalogue gives figure numbers rather than written descriptions. Therefore, the product photos are the clearest way to compare blade shape and shank bend before you order.
Standard Pattern or Style 2
The standard rows come from one catalogue page, and the Style 2 rows from the next page. Style 2 is the same figure on a second handle pattern that the catalogue does not name. So the working end stays the same, while the handle you hold may differ. Compare the two photos for any figure, then choose the handle that suits your grip and the rest of your kit.
Building a Goldman-Fox Kit
Most hygienists and periodontists work from a small core of figures rather than all seven. First, choose the figures that reach the areas you treat most. Next, pick one handle pattern so the set feels consistent. Then add Fig. 21 or other figures later if your cases demand them. In addition, ordering spares helps when one instrument is out for sharpening.
US Inspection, Edges and Warranty
Each Goldman-Fox piece gets a hands-on edge and shank review from our United States team ahead of dispatch. Moreover, every Goldman-Fox figure is covered three years against manufacturing defects, whichever handle you pick. They ship non-sterile, so clean and sterilize each curette before treating a patient.
Steel follows ASTM F899. Find more periodontal tools under Diagnostic, Periodontal & Restorative Instruments. For charting before debridement, pair them with the Goldman-Fox Periodontal Probes. Our FAQs cover orders and returns.
