Description
Gemini Dissecting and Ligature Forceps
Gemini forceps are a curved dissecting and ligature clamp. With seven lengths, the range covers shallow and deep work.
Seven lengths
The 13, 16 and 18 cm sizes suit superficial fields. Meanwhile, the 20, 23, 25 and 28 cm sizes reach deeper.
The curved jaw
A strong curve near the tip lets you pass behind vessels. Also, the tips stay visible as you work.
Dissect and tie
Spread tissue with the tips first. Then hold the ligature and draw it through.
Building a set
Many teams keep a short and a long pair on the same tray. So the surgeon can switch as the dissection deepens. In addition, matching lengths across a set keeps handling familiar. As a result, fewer instruments come back unused. Also, the curved jaw stays consistent across sizes, which keeps technique the same.
Cleaning Gemini forceps
Brush the curved tips, since debris collects inside the curve. Afterwards, flush with clean water and leave the ratchet released for the autoclave.
