Mini-Gemini Dissecting and Ligature Forceps
Mini Gemini forceps are a finer version of the Gemini clamp. The slimmer tips suit delicate dissection around small vessels.
Four lengths
The 18 cm size suits moderate depth. However, the 22, 25 and 28 cm sizes reach deep fields.
Finer tips
The slim tips pass through small gaps. So they disturb less tissue as you dissect.
Holding a ligature
Serrated tips grip fine ties. Therefore you can pass a small ligature cleanly.
When to choose the finer tip
Standard Gemini tips can feel bulky around small vessels. Instead, the finer pattern slips behind them with less spreading. Also, it suits thin tissue that tears easily. Then keep a standard pair nearby for thicker pedicles. Meanwhile, the four sizes cover both moderate and deep fields.
Reprocessing mini Gemini forceps
Treat the fine tips gently, because they bend if forced. Wash, flush and hand-dry them. Then keep the tips shielded in a rack.
