Where the Straight Version Fits

The Straight option runs straight on from the handle to the working end. Because of that, the force you apply travels in a direct, predictable line. It therefore works well on anterior teeth and on premolars you can see head on. Many clinicians also prefer it when they want a clear view along the shaft.

Why Some Clinicians Choose the Curved Version

The Curved option angles the working end away from the handle. As a result, you can reach molars and distal surfaces without forcing the patient’s mouth wider. It also keeps your hand clear of the opposite arch. If your caseload covers both regions, a pair of one Straight and one Curved gives full coverage. Otherwise, compare the two photos and choose the angle that suits most of your removals.
