Description
Fehland Atrauma Sigmoid Anastomosis Forceps
Fehland anastomosis forceps hold the sigmoid colon while you prepare and join the bowel. The instrument measures 24 cm, with atraumatic jaws.
Holding without crushing
Because the jaws are atraumatic, they hold the bowel that you intend to keep. So the tissue stays in good condition for the anastomosis.
A mid-length option
At 24 cm, the Fehland sits between the Veidenheimer and the Hayes in our range. Therefore you can choose by the depth of the field.
Where it fits in the operation
Surgeons use this forceps once the diseased segment is out and the join is being prepared. Then it holds the healthy bowel steady while sutures or staples go in. Because the jaws are gentle, the tissue stays in good condition. Also, a 24 cm length gives reach without feeling heavy. Finally, release the ratchet gradually at the end of the join. In addition, it sits comfortably in the hand during long reconstructive work.
Care of Fehland anastomosis forceps
An ultrasonic cleaner reaches into the jaw pattern well. After that, rinse the forceps, dry them and close them only to the first ratchet tooth for storage.
