Description
Evator Elevators
Evator elevators come in seven patterns so that a blade can reach every root surface around the arch. The range covers Straight, Curved and Bayonet forms. It also includes Angled In and Angled Out, each in Small and Large.
Seven Patterns, One Goal
Roots face many ways. A straight blade often suits the front of the mouth, while back roots tend to need a bend or offset. With seven patterns, you pick the one that meets the root face squarely. As a result, you do not have to tilt your hand.
Matching a Pattern to the Site
- Straight: direct access, often in the front
- Curved: follows the line of the root
- Bayonet: an offset shank for reach past the cheek
- Angled In and Angled Out, Small: tight spaces and slim roots
- Angled In and Angled Out, Large: broader roots
Every pattern has its own listing. Many buyers begin with Straight and Curved, then fill in angled shapes as the caseload grows.
In and Out: Why Both Directions
The In and Out versions face opposite ways. Together, they let you reach mesial, distal, buccal and lingual faces from a relaxed hand position. Similarly, the Small and Large sizes let you match the blade to the root.
Using Evator Elevators Well
Seat the blade in the PDL space with your fourth finger braced nearby. Then wedge or turn in small steps. Never lever off the next tooth unless it comes out too. Also, think ahead to any implant and protect the thin buccal wall.
Keeping Seven Blades in Order
A full set is easy to mix up after the cycle. So sort the blades by pattern in a cassette. Then check each tip for nicks before it goes back.
Order Details
Evator blades are produced to our specification and checked over by our US crew. We chose a stainless steel that fits ASTM F899. Because they leave us unsterilized, clean and autoclave each pattern; it will then handle repeat cases. Whichever of the seven you choose, it carries three years against manufacturing defects. To cut fibers first, see the luxating elevators with seven tips. Then browse the root elevators we stock or our FAQs.
