Endoscope Basket

An endoscope sterilization basket gives a rigid scope its own safe space during cleaning and steam cycles. This narrow wire basket measures 290 × 80 × 52 mm. Inside, a holder keeps the scope from rolling, and a lid closes over the top.

Why scopes need their own basket

Rigid endoscopes and telescopes have glass lenses that can chip or crack. In a mixed tray, heavy tools can knock them. So a dedicated basket keeps the optic apart from other steel. It also makes the scope easy to find on the shelf.

The internal holder

The holder cradles the scope and stops it from sliding end to end. As a result, the tip and eyepiece do not hit the walls during transport. Check that the scope sits fully in the holder before you close the lid.

Reprocessing notes

Always follow the scope maker’s own cleaning and sterilizing steps, since some optics have limits. Also, place the basket so water can drain from it. Then let it dry fully before wrapping. Handle it gently, because the scope inside is the costly part.

Supplied non-sterile

The endoscope sterilization basket arrives non-sterile. Clean and sterilize it before its first use. Afterward, you can reuse it with each reprocessing cycle. Look over the holder and lid now and then for bent wire.

Our warranty on this basket lasts three years against manufacturing defects, though it does not cover the scope itself. It is stainless steel, which ties to ASTM F899.
