Description
Endodontic Box
This endodontic file box keeps your files and reamers upright and in order. The small rectangular body holds an insert with rows of holes. You stand each instrument in its own hole, then close the lid. As a result, the set stays together and you can see each size at a glance.
Rows of holes for files and reamers
Loose files tangle and bend. By contrast, an endodontic file box keeps each one apart. Many clinicians stand them in size order, so the next file is easy to find mid-procedure.
Why a lid helps endo work
Root canal work often runs over more than one visit. Between steps, the lid keeps the set covered on the tray. Also, it stops small files from falling out when you move the box.
Setting up the box
- Stand files in size order, from smallest to largest.
- Keep reamers in their own row, apart from files.
- Leave a few holes free for spare or new instruments.
- Close the lid before you carry the box.
Cleaning and sterilizing
Take out the files and lift out the insert if you can. Then clean each part and check the holes for debris. After that, the box and insert can go through your washer and sterilizer. It ships non-sterile, and it is fit for reuse after each full cycle.
A note on fit
File handles vary between makers. So check that your files sit well in the holes before you load a full set.
Quality and sourcing
Intrace has this box produced to our own spec, with a careful United States inspection before it goes out.
Every endo box carries three years against manufacturing defects, inside and out, so any build fault in the endo box is our job to put right. The steel meets the aims of ASTM F899. To carry a wider set of tools, the Mini Cassette for 5 Instruments works well alongside it. See more in our dental trays and hollow ware category, or read the frequently asked questions.
