Description
E-Z Ligature Placer
Placing ligatures is a small task that happens many times each day. The E-Z ligature placer is a hand instrument made to help with it. It guides ligatures into place around the brackets during an archwire visit.
A Simple Tool
This is not a plier. Instead, it is a small hand instrument with no hinge. That keeps it light and easy to clean. The catalogue gives no further design details, so check the photo to see the working end.
Where It Fits in the Visit
First, the archwire goes into the slots. Then each tooth needs a ligature to hold it. That is when a placer helps. Once the ties are in, you trim and tuck the ends with other tools. Thus, the placer is one step in a short chain.
- Helps place ligatures on brackets
- Light hand instrument with no joint
- One item, no options
- Ships non-sterile
Teamwork at the Chair
Assistants often do much of the tying. So a light tool with a simple grip can help over a long day. In addition, a spare placer on the tray means less waiting between patients. Many practices stock more than one for that reason.
Care Without Fuss
With no joint, cleaning is quick. Brush the working end soon after use. Then dry it and send it to sterilisation. Also check the tip for bends now and then, since a bent tip can catch.
Supply
Our spec sets its form, and you receive it non-sterile. Then clean and sterilise it, and it works for many visits.
Any defect from production is ours to handle, because this placer has three years against manufacturing defects. The placer uses stainless steel that meets ASTM F899. For the cut ends, the ligature director is a natural partner. Our orthodontic instruments page lists every hand tool, and our FAQ hub explains orders.
