The Doyen intestinal clamp is a flexible-jaw bowel clamp. It comes in more sizes than any other clamp in this category, straight or curved.

Standard jaws

The baby Doyen comes in 16 and 18 cm. Meanwhile, the full-size clamp comes in 21 and 23 cm.

Atraumatic jaws

The atraumatic version comes in 13, 16, 18, 21 and 23 cm. So you can match the clamp closely to the bowel and the depth of the field.

Straight or curved

Every size comes straight or curved. For example, curved jaws help you clamp around the mesentery.

A gentle bowel clamp

The flexible jaws close gently along their length, so they hold bowel without crushing it. Then the ratchet keeps the hold steady during division or a join. Because the pattern comes in many sizes, you can fit the clamp closely to the bowel. Also, the smaller sizes suit fine work and narrow segments. Before removing it, relax the grip tooth by tooth, which lets the tissue recover its shape.

Care of the Doyen intestinal clamp

Brush the flexible jaws gently rather than scrubbing hard. Afterwards, rinse and dry the clamp. Then store it on the first ratchet click, which protects the jaw tension.
