This diagnostic set brings the core ENT and eye examination tools together in one hard case. At its center is a battery handle that powers the examination heads, so you carry one kit instead of several loose instruments.

What a diagnostic set usually contains

The manufacturer’s catalogue sets start with a battery handle, an otoscope and several reusable ear specula. Depending on the set, it then adds an ophthalmoscope, a nasal speculum, a tongue blade holder and spare bulbs. As a result, one case covers a routine ear, nose, throat and eye check.

Care

Remove the batteries if you store the set for a long time, since old cells can leak. Clean the ear specula after each patient, and keep spare bulbs in the case. Finally, check the light output before each clinic, because a dim bulb hides detail in the ear canal.
