A ribbed dental scaler tray keeps your hand instruments in a neat row during a cleaning. The tray is shallow, and raised ribs run across the floor. Each scaler, curette or probe rests between two ribs, so the tips stay apart and the handles stay easy to grab.

Why ribs beat a flat floor

On a flat tray, instruments roll into each other and the tips touch. By contrast, the ribs lift each handle and hold it in place. You can then reach for the next tool without looking twice, and fine tips stay clear of one another.
