Description
Deep Bowl
A shallow dish can slop when you move it. This deep round bowl has high, curved walls, so liquid stays put. It is a simple hemispherical shape in stainless steel, with no seams.
Why Depth Matters
Deep walls hold more for the same footprint. They also cut splash when you dip or rinse a tool. Because the inside is round, there are no corners where residue can hide.
Five Sizes by Diameter and Depth
Sizes list diameter × depth in inches.
- 2.25 × 2 in: a tiny bowl for a drop of liquid or a few small parts.
- 4.75 × 2 in: wider but still low.
- 5.5 × 2.5 in: a middle size for saline or rinse.
- 6.25 × 2.75 in: for a larger volume.
- 7 × 3.5 in: the deepest, for soaking or mixing.
In short, pick a small bowl for chairside drops and a large one for a soak.
Typical Tasks
Clinics fill a deep round bowl with saline, water or a cleaning solution. It can also hold small tools or parts while you work. Moreover, in surgery it often sits on the sterile field as a solution bowl.
Handling Tips
Carry a full bowl with both hands. Also set it on a flat, stable spot. When you finish, empty it and rinse it before anything dries.
Reprocessing Steps
The bowl ships non-sterile. Wash, rinse and dry it, then load it upside down in your sterilizer so water drains out. After that, it is reusable for years.
What Backs This Bowl
We define the spec, and each deep bowl passes inspection by our United States team. The stainless steel sits within ASTM F899. Every deep bowl carries three years against manufacturing defects, smallest size to largest. Our bowls and basins page has more. For a smaller pair with a flared rim, see the round bowls. And our Q&A page helps with the rest.
